Enigma Syndrome is a neurological disorder that affects the balance and cognition of leopard geckos. The severity of the genetic mutation varies from relatively mild symptons to debilitating symptons.

 

Each Enigma that is affected will manifest differently to diferent stages of the disorder no gecko is the same nor is the disorder they are all affected differently showing similar signs.

 

Symptoms

• Head trembling

• Head tilting

• Star gazing

• Circling behaviours (either on the spot or in larger circles)

• Spastic motions

• Death rolling

• Seizure's

 

Along side gaining ES as some geckos get older there are other things that could cause dramatic gains of ES.

• Avoiding placing the gecko with another to avoid bullying or asserting the dominance

• Selling and shipping/couriering to a new destination

• Avoid changing the viv round dramatically to often to reduce stress
